Oral Sex Tip #2 : Please start off slow. This is not fast food. This is a luxurious, decadent, gourmet restaurant and we want you to savor every moment so we can savor every moment, too. Oral Sex Tip #4:  If you want us to be comfortable ejaculating or squirting, please do not focus on it too much. Once this becomes goal oriented, we lose interest. Some women even have surgery on their labia to try and look more like the vaginas we see in adult magazines.  It’s a very vulnerable position to be in when we are laying their “starfish” style with our legs spread (the very thing we have been taught all of our life NOT to do) and you’re staring right at us in the most intimate way.

Please be aware of how self concious and vulnerable we feel and try to be very complimentary and enthusiastic. I promise, it pays off in the end for you. That enthusiasm and confidence can turn a woman who is  a little self conscious into the lusty, naughty woman you want in your bed .

How do you hide or store your sex toys?  When you have kids, roommates or a house cleaner who comes to your house on occasion, you need to find a good way to store them. I have been meaning to write this blog and was reminded by a good friend of mine today who had an incident where her son emptied out her “special” box she keeps under the bed. The funny thing is, he just wanted the box the toys were in. Luckily for her, he is young enough not to have a clue what they are.

So, over the years I have seen some interesting places that my customers hide their sex toys. Here are some cool suggetions that are super cheap to luxury storage treatments for your sex toy stash. When we do our Bliss pleasure parties, we set up a full store in our customers’ homes and most of the time, we set up our sex toy store in the bedroom. So, I have seen a lot of sex toys and sex toy storage concepts!

Sex Toy Storage Ideas:

1. Bankers Boxes have been used for years by customer who know that if you write “Income Taxes 1998″ on the outside of the box, no one will go in there.

2. Tackle Boxes that are made for fishing and fishing tackle make a great and very UN SEXY storage locker for your sex toys. They’re usually olive, camo, green, beige and not something your 7 yeard old nosey daughter is going to rifle through.

3. Tool Boxes like the one pictured here are fun and sometimes they have a lock on them, so you can keep prying eyes away and avoid that “Mommy, what is this for” question when your teenagers or pre-teens find your dildo or bondage stash.

4. Tunti makes a cool lockable toy box that looks much like a camera case. Great for traveling because no one would know what’s inside until the Homeland Security people scan it. Then it’s just yours and the U.S. Government’s secret.

5. Toi Bocks created a gorgeous line of high end luxury sex toy storage stash boxes that you can set on your dresser or armoir. Dawn Tulman, the fonder of ToiBocks.com, created these lovely wood boxes that look more like a jewelry box or a tissue box. No one would even know what’s inside. And it has a very special locking mechanism so your teenagers or your nanny cannot break into it. Dawn and her team thought of every detail.

There are lots of other ways – some people use a safe. Some people put them all in a pillow case and put them in the back or bottom of their drawer. Some people hide them in the bathroom (which I do not recommend as there is way too much moisture in there) in a make up case. Some people buy hat boxes or cutesy boxes from a department store. You have to be careful with the super cute containers because they do appeal to girly girl little girls and they will go looking through them even if they are at the very very top of your closet!

5 Tips for Bondage on a Budget: The key here is being comfortable, and being able to enjoy new sensations and a new experience with your lover. The first step? Gather your materials. I’m not sending you on too much of a wild-goose chase. There are just five.

1. Rubber bands

I like the red ones from around celery bunches aka produce rubber bands. You can also get extra-thick rubber bands at your local office supply store. Use these around the base of the breasts. One for each. No rope needed.

2. Clothespins

Standard wooden or plastic clothespins. You really only need two; one for each nipple. Look in the laundry room, or your junk drawer. If you find you or your partner enjoys a little pain, you can use more all across the surface of the breast. Or, journey downward to the lower erogenous zones. You can usually find a pack at the Dollar Store or a place like Target or Walmart for just a few bucks.

3. Spatula (Silicone)

Check the kitchen, of course! Otherwise, again, put it on your list for the Dollar Store or your Target or Walmart-type place. Love silicone because it can be boiled or put in the dishwasher to sterilize, unlike the traditional wooden spoon that is often thought of in naughty fantasies. Fun to drag across your partner’s body & for light spanking!

4. Nylons

Ripped, non-ripped, doesn’t matter. Check your drawers. If you or your partner doesn’t wear nylons, pick up the cheapest ones you can at the store. You know, the ones that come in the little plastic bubbles for 99 cents. Knee-highs work great here, because we’ll be using them as ties. You want at least four, or two-pair.

5. Fabric headband

Makes an easy one-step blindfold. No tie required. If you’re not comfortable not being able to see, skip this one!

I love these items because not only are they enjoyable for first-timers venturing into the world of bondage (and light s/m), but they are all quick-release, which means that they can all be undone fast if the situation calls for it. Remember, safety first. That will allow you and your partner to truly have the most fun!

In that spirit, set up a safe-word in advance. What’s a safe-word? It’s a pre-negotiated word that allows both partners to know that the current activities need to cease. Either partner can use it. The one tied up, or the other. You can use it if you get a leg cramp, if you get scared, or if you really have to pee. Even if you just want the dang nylons off your wrists so you can hug and kiss your partner. The reason doesn’t matter. Never be afraid to call your safe word.

Make it something totally different than “stop” or “don’t” or “mercy” … Think about “elephant” or “red” or “jelly beans!” that way, if you say it, your lover will know you really mean it, and will stop all activity immediately. The safe word is also a signal for all bondage to be undone, and all props to be taken away. Make sure you negotiate this in discussion before you get your props together and begin any play at all.

You never want to cut off blood supply or circulation, or do anything that might damage tissue. The great thing about using nylons for your ties (whether you’re tying your lover (or being tied) to bed, chair or just wrists and/or ankles to each other) is that it stretches, and if you or your lover panics or if there is an emergency, you can usually get out pronto, without scissors. To stay safe, though, do keep a dulled pair of kid’s scissors right next to your play area, wherever you’re playing. Safety scissors work, too, if you’ve done rope play or have one from a first-aid kit or whatever. They will not cut a person, but will cut through the nylon. Nifty, huh?

Get creative, and let loose! Think about sharing sensation with your lover. Kisses, gentle nibbles. Swirling your tongue around. Mayhap playing with an ice cube. Or a bowl of heated, edible massage oil that you can dance on his or her skin and lick and suck off, while he or she is tied up in your sexy role-play fantasy.

You can also play with a fluffy makeup brush or a clean feather-duster on dry skin. Body powder is fun, albeit a little messy, and they do make special edible body powder for sensation-play. Remember that usually, simple is best, and your own body is your greatest tool to pleasure your partner. Don’t be afraid to use it!

(With first-time bondage experiences, I’d be careful about bringing any explicit oral sex or intercourse into the mix, unless you discuss it in detail in advance. Being tied-up can make a person feel extremely vulnerable. And when exploring new experiences, it’s better to tread cautiously than unknowingly hurt your partner.)

Chrystal Bougon: This came up at a Bliss Party last night when I was teaching my hostesses friends what I know about anal sex. (I have a blog; I wrote about 9 steps to pain free anal sex.) Can you comment on how safe anal sex is long term? It seems there are so many conflicting studies out there. Some people say it is perfectly natural and healthy and others say that it can lead to long term health issues. And, I understand all of the STD issues, but I mean more about the long term health of the anus, etc. (…) I just wonder what your feelings are on the subject.

Violet: This is a great question, because it tackles several concerns — and myths — about anal sex all at once. Anal sex is still a very taboo subject, even though we’re in a fairly enlightened era for frank sexual discussions. To my own surprise and shock, I’ve even witnessed Dr. Drew talking about anal sex and perpetuating myths about the sex act — I think, because it is still socially unacceptable to engage in anal sex as a regular part of one’s sexual repertoire, and to enjoy it. We’re supposed to get punished for liking things too much, right?

Well, that seems to certainly be the attitude toward what is actually a fairly innocent sex act. Chrystal, you wrote a blog post outlining guidelines for pain free anal play, so you know that anal pleasure and health go hand in hand. For those new to understanding anal penetration, a little physiology lesson goes a long way.

The anus is packed with nerve endings, which is one of the main reasons it can feel oh-so-good when sexually stimulated; it is also ringed with highly sensitive muscles (think: the opening of a drawstring bag). These muscles have a mind of their own and are not under voluntary control — that’s why we have to go slow for anal sex, and why anything that goes inside should have a flared base so it can’t get pulled inside. Unlike the vagina, the anus does not self-lubricate, which is why we have to add lubricant for penetration. The skin inside is very thin (thus sensitive), and can tear easily: again why we need LOTS of lubricant, and should always only play with toys that are absolutely smooth.

So if you enjoy anal sex and want to do it more than once in your life, maybe even regularly, what’s there to worry about? Well, some people — even ‘experts’ — might say that because [they think that] the anus is not meant for penetration or pleasure, there could be a price to pay for all that fun. Namely, that over time, anal sex will lead to lack of muscle control, lack of bowel control, or a “looser” anus. This would be the ‘long term health’ issues people are likely referring to.

Once we’ve “warmed up” for anal sex by relaxing, it feels like penetration is easier — and it is. Penetration gets you used to relaxing the sphincter muscles, but it’s important to know that these muscles (smooth muscles) and the skin around the anus are shockingly resilient. The more experience you have with anal sex makes it easier to control the pain and accommodate penetration — not because you’re “stretched out” or “looser” but because you’re more experienced with your body, and in tune with its reactions.

If you’re doing everything properly (lots of lube, going slow, not scratching yourself with nails or plastic toys), you’re taking good care of your bootie and there will be no damage or long term effects. Unless you’re purposely going out of your way to try and stretch yourself out with superhuman-sized objects repeatedly over time and regularly, playing unsafely, or working to actively tear the sphincter muscles, you can’t actually permanently change the size of the anal opening. Nor can you “break” the muscles so they don’t work anymore.

There have been cases where certain anal ailments have developed after years of anal play (anal fissures, to be precise), but conventional wisdom points to the ailments being caused by unsafe anal sex practices such as not using lube, using drugs during anal sex, or inserting large objects into the rectum without proper warm-up and preparation. The notion of losing bowel control due to frequent anal penetration is a hurtful myth, perpetuated by our culture’s shame about anal sex. It is usually directed at gay men, though since anal sex has become popular with heterosexual couples, that myth has followed into mainstream culture, no thinks to pundits who confuse opinion for fact, such as Dr. Drew.

In fact, playing with anal penetration for pleasure actually tones the muscles, stimulates healthy blood flow to the area, and is a great form of exercise for the sphincter muscles. The more you use the muscles, the better shape they will be in — though because they are smooth muscles, not like the muscles in your biceps, they can’t be “bulked up” so you don’t have to worry about them becoming bigger from “too many” orgasms! Oh, if only there was such a thing as too many orgasms… I digress.

But as long as you don’t rush, you stop when you feel pain, and don’t do anything to damage the tissue, you may find that you have even better bootie control than before. Yes, you are supposed to take your batteries out of your sex toys in between use. If you have fallen in love with your sex toy, you will take our advice. When we talk to the various sex toy manufacturers on our Better Sex Radio show and at the Sex Toy trade shows, it’s the first thing they all suggest when we ask them how can we prolong the life of the sex toys we sell.

It’s true of all electronics, actually. Taking the batteries out can prolong the life of your toy – sex toy or other. And, if you own the beautiful Pearl Thunder which is made with in Japan with Honda Motor Parts – you probably spend somewhere around $100 on that toy. That is something you want to last a good 5 ot 10 years, right? Now imagine $9.00 worth of double aa batteries leaking and ruining your favorite Sex Toy.  (Insert sad face here.)

Another thing you can do to make your toys last longer is clean them with an unscented baby wipe – do not clean them under running water. We are pretty sure that too much moisture from cleaning the toys is what causes your rabbits, dolphins and beavers to die an early death.  A great sex toy is a a great lover – you never want to have to kick them to the curb.
