I'd have a nice workout in the morning, followed by breakfast overlooking the waves. then off to a have a spa treatment, mani pedi, mud bath, and a nice massage. maybe do a little shopping at the near by town and dinner on the beach. I'd plan a weekend away to Miraval in Arizona. There, I'd do the exploring activities - mountain biking and rock climbing. After, I'd relax in their spa and dine on the super nourishing food they provide. The next day I'd try many of their therapy and healing programs and hopefully find somewhere to draw or paint. This places oozes romance, total relaxation and peace and quiet. Cell phones don't work very here, so if you REALLY wanna get away from everything and everyone, this is the place to go. The room is very cozy and you have a magnificent, breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean from your room...you can hear the waves crashing up against the rocks all night long. To set my relaxation mood, i'd put the soft robe (that comes with the room) in a chair facing the crackling fireplace.....the robe will be nice and warm when I slip out of the tub.....I'd bring a couple of candles to set by the tub, which I know I could sit in for a good 2 hours sipping on some wine and listening to the sounds of the ocean and peaking out the window to see the moon and stars. Run the tub full of water add some lavendar vanilla bath salts, turn on the jets and slip into the hot water. Dry off, put on the warm robe, snack on the fruit and cheese tray, hop in the bed with my book, pull up the down comforter and see how many pages I can read before I succumb to sleep. Upon waking, I'd go get some breakfast and head to town to check out the antique shoppes, do a little shopping, snag some lunch and get on the road to return home. I haven't been to Mendocino in a couple of years, but I haven't forgotten how special I felt when I left. That memory of that weekend has stayed with me and always made me feel warm and fuzzy inside......I would love to plan another night there. The Sea Rock Inn is my idea of a great 24 hour date.
