Review: Beginners Bondage Fantasy

Dick is a fan of mild bondage play and it’s an area of intimacy that’s relatively new to Jane, so we were excited to give “Beginners Bondage Fantasy” a try. This neat little kit includes all the basic bondage essentials including 2 wrist restraints, 2 ankle restraints and an incredibly soft blindfold, all in basic black. The first thing that we noticed is the fantastic quality of each of the pieces. From the straps to the blindfold, these are crafted exceptionally well and designed to hold up even with the roughest of play. The other plus is the length of the straps on the wrist and ankle restraints. We don’t have a 4-poster bed to tie the straps around, and the extra length of the straps was enough to reach to the handles of our nightstand! The final benefit was the adjustable Velcro closures of the restraints which will fit almost any size wrists or ankles; these truly are one-size fits all! We’ve tried traditional ‘sex’ board games before, and were curious to try one that bills itself as being focused on communication and interaction, rather than doing ‘the dirty deed.’ Intimate4Play probably isn’t the best name for the game, because it has very little to do with intimate foreplay. “Communication4Play” might be more accurate, as this game is all about getting couples to talk to each other. The game comes with a pair of dice so you can roll and see who goes first, and 5 stacks of cards in categories including: Humorous, Romantic, Intellectual, Sexual and Erotic. There are instructions for 3 different games: One Card Draw, Five Card Stud and Strip Poker. This game is fantastic for new couples who are getting to know each other, and for long-term couples who need to rekindle conversation. Questions span a wide range of subjects including, “How can your partner touch you like no one else?” “What have you not done sexually that you would like to try?” “What’s a Pet Peeve of Yours?” and “What Motivates You?”
The only downside of the game is that the One Card Draw and Five Card Stud versions don’t have an obvious end to the game, so you just keep playing until you get tired of it. Also look out for some typos on a few of the cards; nothing that will keep you from enjoying the game, but something to be aware of if you plan to purchase it.

Review: Little Softee by California Exotic Novelties

We had never tried a vibe like this that has a 2-pronged shaft – a longer part for internal use and small ‘rabbit’ for clitoral stimulation. So, we were very excited to give it a whirl! The material is called ‘silky soft’ and definitely lives up to it’s name. The batteries were quick and easy to install (it takes 3 AAA’s), and the time from taking it out of the box to getting to the pleasure was super quick. One mistake we made was setting the vibe down on our comforter which was full of dog hair…this vibe is a magnet for pet hair, but being waterproof, it was easy to stick the whole vibe in the sink and rinse it off – which is not only great for the removal of pet hair, but for clean up after you’re finished playing!
One of the major plusses of the Little Softee is the three different vibe settings and three additional settings for rotating the shaft. We started on the lowest setting and once Jane started to get into the groove, increased the vibe and rotation settings. The shape of this vibe is supposed to pleasure the g-spot, but we found that when we held it in a position for g-spot pleasure, the external ‘rabbit’ wasn’t in a position to do the jobclitorally. Likewise, when the rabbit was in a good position for clitoral stimulation, the shaft of the Little Softee wasn’t long enough to reach the g-spot. Jane didn’t mind though, as the vibe had enough shimmy and shake to get the job done, even without being on both the g-spot and clitoris at the same time.

We had never tried a vibe like this that has a 2-pronged shaft – a longer part for internal use and small ‘rabbit’ for clitoral stimulation. So, we were very excited to give it a whirl! The material is called “Aqua Gel” and it looks pleasing, but it doesn’t feel nearly as silky or soft as “The Little Softee” which we were comparing it to. The batteries were easy to install (it takes 3 AAA’s). We had high hopes for this vibe as it had longer ‘bunny ears’ and a longer shaft than the Little Softee, but the vibration did not carry all the way through to the important spots!
