There are lots of stripper poles on the market designed for your home which are called Portable Stripper Poles. There are a few things you should know before you buy a Stripper Pole and I have outlined some tips for you here. My most important piece of advice is to MEASURE your cieling befor you buy your home stripper pole. And, even though they are called PORTABLE STRIPPER POLES…what the manufacturer means is that you can put it up and take it down quickly. But, if you want to do inversions and really give it a work out, you should install the HARDWARE in your cieling or floor.

1. Most cielings seem to be about 8′ tall (or 96 inches). Of course, if you live in an apartment or a condo or if your house is older, you should measure. Also, sometimes more expensive or luxury homes seem to have 9′ cielings, but again, MEASURE before you buy a Portable Stripper Pole.The pole that has the most “wiggle” room for various cieling heights is the TLC Portable Private Dancer Pole. 2. If you really plan to give your pole a work out and you want to hang upside down from it, the strongest and most strudy pole seems to be the My Sexy Stripper Pole from Sweet Lust. Again, this pole has a bolt or nipple style attachment for the cieling. It’s very easy to put up and take back down, but you do hae to install the bolt in the cieling to give it the strenght and stability to allow you to spin and hang upside down on it. (You should be under 200lbs with all of the poles.) I should mention that all of these poles work best with the type of cielngs that have NO texture. (Meaning the popcorn texture does not work well as it can create a flat sop on your ceiling if you put it up and take it down often.)
