Kegels for Men

by Miss Bliss on August 8, 2012

We’ve all heard the benefits of Kegel exercises for women, but did you know that these same exercises benefit men as well? The muscles men work out by doing Kegel exercises are called the pubococcygeus muscles (PC) muscles. These muscles control the flow of semen and urine as well as the firmness of the penis during erection. The stronger these muscles are, the less likely that a man will have erectile dysfunction later in life.

The best thing about Kegel exercises, also called pelvic floor exercises, is that anyone can do them anywhere, any time. These muscles improve sex for both men and women, but many men do not know how to do them. The simplest way to find your PC muscles is to stop the flow of urine next time you go to the bathroom. Once you’ve determined which muscles to use, try some Kegel exercises. Askmen.com has put together a great set of exercises here. Kegelsformen.com is another great resource for information about Kegel exercises.

These exercises have the ability to transform your sex life, just make sure you don’t do them too often. The information on how often you should do Kegels varies, but just like your biceps and triceps, you should not over train the muscle. You will be able to feel when the exercise is working, and so will your partner. If you are struggling with ED, try these exercises before trying Viagra or Cialis. There is no excuse for not taking care of these muscles!

Ladies, if you want to feel the benefits of your combined efforts with Kegel exercises, try this:

Have your man rest his erection inside your vagina without thrusting. Then, both flex your PC muscles. This will stimulate your G-spot and give your man a great sensation.

Kegel muscles are incredibly important when it comes to sexual enjoyment. If you and your partner are already doing Kegels, let us know how it has improved your sex life. We love hearing from you!
